The Twenty-first Meeting of SEAFDEC Information Staff Program convened

SEAFDEC organized the Twenty-first Meeting of SEAFDEC Information Staff Program (21ISP) from 30 November to 1 December 2020 through Google Meet. The 21ISP was attended by the SEAFDEC Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, senior officials as well as information-related officers from the Secretariat, TD, MFRD, AQD, MFRDMD, and IFRDMD. During the Meeting, the progress and achievements of the implementation of Information Strategies for Enhancing SEAFDEC Visibility and Communication in 2020 were reviewed. Moreover, the Meeting also provided recommendations on the preparation and enhancement of SEAFDEC information tools/activities in 2021 which include regular information materials, annual report, Special Publication “Fish for the People,” Calendar 2022, websites, and institutional repositories. Other information-related matters including the progress of hosting of institutional repositories and revision of the Notes for Writing and Editing SEAFDEC Documents were also discussed during the Meeting. The results from the 21ISP, particularly those that need policy support from SEAFDEC, would be submitted to the SEAFDEC Department Chiefs’ Meeting in 2020 for consideration and directives.
