SEAFDEC Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center
SEAFDEC is pleased to announce the launching of the publication “The Southeast Asian State of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SEASOFIA) 2022” on 18 April 2022. The SEASOFIA 2022 provides useful information on fisheries and aquaculture production, recent issues and initiatives, and outlook on ensuring the sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture in the region. It is envisaged that this publication would support the countries in the region in formulating science-based policies and management measures and enhancing the contribution of fisheries and aquaculture to food security.
Throughout the past decades, SEAFDEC had undertaken several activities to compile various forms of fisheries data and information. The SEASOFIA 2022 was prepared through the collaborative effort of the SEAFDEC Secretariat and Departments and it is the third of a series with the first issue in 2012 and the subsequent issue in 2017.
