SEAFDEC Department Chiefs’ Meeting convened

The SEAFDEC Department Chiefs’ Meeting was convened in Bali, Indonesia on 25 November 2023. The SEAFDEC Secretary-General, Dr. Suttinee Limthammahisorn, along with the Deputy Secretary-General, SEAFDEC Department Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, and senior officials from the SEAFDEC Secretariat, TD, MFRD, AQD, MFRDMD, and IFRDMD. The Meeting discussed the updates on the actions made by the Departments on the recommendations provided during 55^th Meeting of the SEAFDEC Council, 46^th Meeting of SEAFDEC Program Committee, and 26^th Meeting of Fisheries Consultative Group of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Strategic Partnership. For the information-related matters, the Meeting took note of the results of the 24^th Meeting of SEAFDEC Information Staff Program held in October 2023 and discussed the issues including SEAFDEC Calendar 2025, SEAFDEC eNews, Special Publication “Fish for the People” SEAFDEC institutional video, among others. After the discussions on administrative and financial matters, the Meeting also discussed the preparation for the 56^th Meeting of the SEAFDEC Council in 2024.
